NOT disappointed! The BBQ was delicious (ribs and sausage were my favorites, but everything on the sampler plate was yummy). The fried pies were excellent and the service was super fast and friendly. So sad that we were only passing through. Hot Springs is lucky to have Chuck's!

Chucks is the real deal. Many places where I am from wish they could serve food like this. This is true BBQ that speaks to you. It has what BBQ nowadays lacks....The direct link to American history. You can taste the history in their ribs. Its great. The hospitality given when you arrive is good too, the staff are helpful and offer samples and let you know what is fresh etc. Location: this place is right on the side of the road next to the freeway. It is easily accessed and parking is plentiful for the sze of the place. not paved though. Decor: The building is old and has character. The dining room is wallpapered with southern rock and johnny cash posters and stuff. It is cool. When in town I HAVE to stop in and sit in the dining room for full effect. only a couple tables and the floor was uneven. this adds multitude of charm. BBQ:This stuff is good. Serverd traditionally with the sauce on the side. Ribs: Dry rub arkansas style. Spicy and smoked to perfection. Bread: they do a traditional white bread dipped in butter on the side Do yourself a favor and try a few things there. Protip: Buy a mason jar of their sauce. It is really good. All in all I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have my father in law pick up cases of their sauce at times. I only aspire to get my BBQ to this level. They have it down pat.

Had the absolute pleasure of eating at Chucks several weeks ago. We sat inside vs. doing take-away (which is also a great option) and enjoyed the small dining room. It was very casual with great memorabilia all over the walls. The owner was extremely warm and welcoming. We both ordered pulled pork sandwiches with different sides to sample. EXCELLENT, in a word! The sauce was spicy with a great tang, and the pork was succulent and juicy. The baked beans and potato salad were fresh and delicious as well. We've been back several times since, and will continue to do so...and plan on trying the ribs next!

Chucks is always a good experience for me. He consistently serves great BBQ and the beans are AMAZING! I always get the pork or brisket sandwich and haven't been disappointed in four years! Thanks chuck!

Yelp, you let me down with this clunker. After my recent experience I am convinced that either this place has gone downhill in a big way or that the other reviewers have really poor taste. I should have known something was wrong when we were the only customers in the place at lunch time. This was by far the worse bbq I've ever had. Chicken that leaves a black, oily, sooty residue on the plate from the fat have dripped on the coals and catching fire. A piece of brisket that was a gray color and so dry that no amount of sauce could stand a chance of redeeming it in any manner. The one rib on the combo platter was only about a half inch wide, and what was there was comprised mostly of cartilage. A few scraggly pieces of nondescript sausage on the same combo plate. Beans out of can. American cheese and the same nasty canned pork and beans on the tamale plate. It was also way over priced for what it was. Chuck-you should be ashamed for serving such nasty food. You obviously have no respect for your customers, few as they appear to be. There's plenty of good Q in the area. My biggest regret is that we wasted one of our limited meals at this place.

Hickory smoked meats served in a tiny place with a smokehouse out the side door. If you're undecided, get the $11 sampler plate: samples of six different meats with two sides, (potato salad and beans are great). Very good BBQ at reasonable prices. Good, friendly Southern hospitality.

Not just good Bar-B-Q, but true Southern Hospitality! Showed up at the end of the day and left having sampled most of the menu items and with smiles on our faces from the great conversation.
